Daypages · Barbanson Data Solutions

Daypages is built to be calm and private. The short version: we collect nothing about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers. Everything you create stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Daypages has no servers of its own and no sign-up. We do not see your events, notes, moods, photos, drawings or settings, and we never receive any usage or analytics data.

What stays on your device

Your calendar events, journal notes, moods, photos and handwriting, and your preferences, are stored locally on your device. They are not transmitted to us.

Optional iCloud sync

If you turn on sync, Daypages uses Apple's CloudKit to keep your data in your own private iCloud, so it appears across your Apple devices. This stays inside your Apple account; Daypages has no access to it and it is never sent to any server of ours.

Your device calendar

With your permission, Daypages can show and add events to the calendars already on your phone (for example iCloud or Google). This happens on your device through the operating system. We do not receive these events. You can revoke calendar access at any time in your device settings.

Weather (optional)

If you turn on weather, Daypages fetches the forecast for the city you chose from MET Norway (api.met.no), the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. Only that city's coordinates are sent; nothing about you or your calendar. The forecast is cached on your device, and with the toggle off the app makes no weather requests at all.

Photos

Photos you add to a day are stored on your device (and in your private iCloud if sync is on). They are never uploaded to us.

Notifications

Reminders and the optional morning glance are scheduled locally on your device. No notification is sent through a server of ours.

Purchases

The one-time "Pro" unlock is processed entirely by the App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. Daypages checks your purchase directly with the store on your device; no third party is involved and nothing is linked to your name or email.

Children

Daypages is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with an updated date.

Terms of Use

Daypages is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

You are responsible for how you use Daypages and for the device it runs on. Your content is stored on your device (and in your private iCloud if you turn on sync), so you are responsible for keeping your own backups: to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of, or damage to, your data or content.

The app is free to try for 3 days; continued use requires a one-time purchase made through the App Store or Google Play, and on Apple devices it is shared with your Family Sharing group. Purchases are processed by, and subject to the standard terms of, the App Store or Google Play.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Daypages and Barbanson Data Solutions are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect.
