What do I need before installing?

Stream Deck 7.1 or later, Claude Code, and macOS 12 or Windows 10 or later. Claude Code can be running in VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, VSCodium, or in a terminal.

Nothing appears on the keys

Press the Setup key. It checks each prerequisite in turn and names the one that is missing. The usual causes are hooks installed while no session was running, or a session running inside WSL when the hooks went to Windows. Start a new Claude Code session after installing, because hooks are read at session start.

I run Claude Code inside WSL

That is supported, and on Windows it is the tested path. Setup lists your distributions and installs the hooks inside the one you choose.

A row shows the wrong project

A row belongs to the session that claimed it and holds it until that session ends, so it never shuffles while you are looking away. To release a row, end that session or restart Stream Deck.

How do I remove it?

Open the Setup key's settings panel and choose Remove. It takes out the hook entries, deletes the forwarder script, and restores the editor keybinding. Everything it changed was backed up before the first edit.
