Overview
Miss Louis LaFemme is an international drag performer who takes bookings worldwide. This is the performer's first website: it presents three stage shows with their setlists, run time and starting price, and routes enquiries through a form that captures the show, the event type and the venue's technical setup. It runs in Dutch and English from one content source.
The brief

What they needed

Miss Louis LaFemme had no website. This was a first public presence, so one page had to carry everything at once: who the performer is, what the shows are, and how to book. It had to work for a Dutch home market and international clients alike, with the shows concrete enough for an organiser to judge fit and budget without emailing first.

What we built

The work, piece by piece

Three shows, priced and bookable
01

Three shows, priced and bookable

Each show lists its artists, a sample setlist, the run time and a starting price, with a button that takes the visitor straight to the enquiry form.

Enquiry form that takes the brief
02

Enquiry form that takes the brief

The form asks which shows, the event type, and whether the venue supplies professional light and sound, so an enquiry arrives with the practical questions already answered.

Dutch and English from one source

Dutch and English from one source

Every string lives in one translation file per language. The site picks the visitor's language automatically and remembers the choice.

Portfolio images open in a lightbox, so an organiser can see the looks without leaving the page.

Profile and reach

Profile and reach

A short about section carries the performer's background and international reach, next to the headline figures the client leads with.

How it was built

The approach

Built as a single React 19 page with Vite and Tailwind 4, deployed on Netlify. Only the hero loads up front: every section below it is lazy loaded behind one Suspense boundary, which keeps the first paint fast on a page this image heavy. The scroll container is the app root rather than the window, so a mobile address bar cannot resize the viewport mid scroll. The sparkle effects run on canvas and switch off completely when the visitor asks for reduced motion. Analytics are cookieless and the form posts to Netlify Forms, so the site needs no cookie banner.

The outcome

The performer went from no website to a bookable page in two languages. Enquiries now arrive with the show, the event type and the venue's light and sound situation already specified, so a quote can follow without a round of basic questions.
